'The Black Swan', the documentary that shook Denmark with a real story of fraud and betrayal.

In 2017, when Danish police began investigating a massive tax fraud scheme, no one could have imagined the scale of what they would uncover. For over a decade, a network of financiers, lawyers, and international speculators had devised a mechanism to illegally siphon more than €2 billion from Denmark’s public funds — what would become known as the Dividend Tax Fraud case.

Former criminal lawyer Amira Smajic teams up with filmmaker Mads Brügger to infiltrate Denmark’s organized crime world, transforming her old consulting office into a hidden-camera trap. For months, they film gangsters, corrupt professionals, and money-laundering schemes, but the investigation takes a turn when Amira deceives the journalists themselves.

Becoming the most-watched documentary in Danish history, The Black Swan delivers a tense portrayal of organized crime and a reflection on betrayal and the ethical boundaries of journalism.
