MIND THE GAP: Rules and Regulations

INTRODUCTION

SERIELIZADOS launches the second edition of MIND THE GAP, the international pitch for series co-production, within the framework of Serielizados, International Series Festival of Barcelona.

MIND THE GAP is supported by Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (Government of Catalonia) and Fundació SGAE. Collaborators include Konga Music Agency, Sarao Music, ECAM (Madrid Film and Audiovisual School), Seriencamp and Iberseries & Platino Industria.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of MIND THE GAP is to support series projects in covering the final stretch of their financing, giving them international visibility and promoting European co-productions and international sales.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

11 projects will take part in a pitch in front of media industry professionals attending Serielizados.

An international jury composed of commissioners, sales agents, broadcasters and platforms will select one winning project, which will receive a 5,500€ prize. Konga Music Agency will assign, among the Spanish projects, an award valued in 2,000€ to use music from Konga Music Agency’s Production Music catalog.

After the pitch, the selected projects will have the opportunity to participate in one-to-one meetings scheduled by the organization.

The pitch will take place on Wednesday the 21st of October 2026 in the SGAE headquarters in Catalonia.

PARTICIPANTS

The call is open to legally established production companies.

Out of the 11 selected projects, 8 will be chosen from this call by a committee of screenwriters and script analysts appointed by the organization.

At least 1 of the selected projects will need to have a SGAE member as a writer or director.

The remaining 3 will be selected among participants in the Seriencamp Co-Production Pitch, ECAM Forum and Iberseries & Platino Industria.

The decision will be final and announced during the first half of September.
