Alan Ball, creator of highly acclaimed series such as 'Six Feet Under' and 'True Blood', will offer a talk discussing his long career as a creator.

Alan Ball, creator of the series Six Feet Under and True Blood, will be one of the highlighted international guests of the 12th Serielizados and will participate in a talk about his extensive career as a creator, producer, director, and writer.

Ball will attend the festival coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the finale of Six Feet Under, considered one of the greatest series finales in television history. The series, about a Los Angeles family running a funeral home, is one of the most iconic productions of HBO. Over its five seasons, originally aired between 2001 and 2005, the series won more than 60 awards, including 9 Emmys (including Best Directing for Alan Ball) and 3 Golden Globes: Best Drama Series, Best Actress (Frances Conroy), and Best Supporting Actress (Rachel Griffiths).

Following the acclaim of Six Feet Under, Alan Ball created, also for HBO, the series True Blood, another huge success with a total of seven seasons originally aired between 2008 and 2014. With True Blood, Ball explored genre fiction through a supernatural drama starring Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Alexander Skarsgård, which examined the coexistence of humans and vampires, combining sex, violence, and social critique.

Ball began his television career as a writer and producer on the sitcom Cybill, starring Cybill Shepherd, and won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the film American Beauty, directed by Sam Mendes. Among other work, he has also stood out as executive producer of the series Banshee, creator of Here and Now, and director of the films My Uncle Frank and Towelhead (Nothing Is Private).
