Serielizados premieres ‘Sicarios’ (Movistar Plus+), the new docuseries by Carles Porta that delves into the heart of organized crime and drug trafficking operating on the Costa del Sol.
A man known as Maradona and his family are celebrating his son’s First Communion in San Pedro de Alcántara (Marbella). As they get into their car to head to the reception, a helmet-wearing hitman shoots him five times in front of his wife and two children. Months later, the man who ordered his execution is shot dead as he leaves his home in Estepona.
Through a meticulous reconstruction, the investigation into both homicides uncovers the network of a dangerous gang of Nordic hitmen based on the Costa del Sol and led by Amir Faten Mekky, a young Danish man of Iranian origin. Across three 40-minute episodes, the series exposes the methods, power dynamics, and cold-blooded nature of the international contract killer networks that have turned southern Spain into one of their primary operational hubs.
