Serielizados premieres this gripping Basque-language thriller after its run at the San Sebastián Film Festival
Following its recent screening at the San Sebastián Film Festival, Serielizados premieres this gripping thriller from EITB, coproduced with RTVE Play, directed by Koldo Almandoz and starring Nagore Aranburu (Querer).
Nerea García (Nagore Aranburu) is going through a rough patch: it’s been four years since she was expelled from the Ertzaintza police force and now lives in seclusion in her Bilbao home. When the body of a woman murdered in a ritualistic fashion is discovered, her former boss asks her to assist in the investigation. What Nerea doesn’t know is that the ghosts of her past and present will lead her into the city’s underworld, where nothing and no one are what they seem.
Spoken in Basque, the series was successfully screened in the Official Section of the most recent San Sebastián Film Festival. Alongside Nagore Aranburu, the cast features Josean Bengoetxea, Ramón Agirre, Sara Cózar and Miren Gaztañaga, among others. The screenplay is by Koldo Almandoz and Harkaitz Cano.
Zeru Ahoak will premiere on RTVE Play on Friday, November 14.
