The visionary creator, screenwriter, and director—one of the most influential and auteur figures in international television—will give a masterclass at Serielizados on the occasion of the premiere of his highly anticipated new series, Etty.
Hagai Levi will be one of the major international names of this edition. In addition to presenting Etty at the festival—a radical and intimate historical drama based on the diaries of Etty Hillesum—the auteur will reflect on his fascinating creative journey. Levi revolutionized television storytelling with the creation of In Treatment, an intimate, dialogue-driven format that became a global phenomenon adapted in dozens of countries. His unmistakable signature continued to solidify with standout works such as The Affair (Golden Globe winner) and the acclaimed HBO miniseries Scenes from a Marriage.
Throughout this masterclass, Levi will share the key elements of his creative process: from meticulous dialogue writing and directing actors to his unique ability to explore human psychology, the cracks in love, faith, and inner resilience during moments of existential crisis.
