The Norwegian actress, screenwriter and creator, a key figure in contemporary Nordic television, will offer a masterclass on her career in series such as 'Pørni', which became a phenomenon in Norway, or the new 'Nepobaby', part of the festival’s Panorama Section.
Henriette Steenstrup will be one of the festival’s highlighted guests this year at Serielizados. In addition to presenting her new original series, she will offer a masterclass in which she will review her career as an actress, screenwriter and creator of serialized fiction in Norway. Her drama series Pørni (2021) marked a turning point in her career: she not only stars in the leading role but also wrote the series, portraying the everyday life of a single mother with children, an elderly father, and a demanding job in social services.
The show had a significant impact and received awards such as the Gullruten for Best Drama Series and Best Performance. She has also stood out as an actress in international series such as Ragnarok (Netflix), where she plays Turid Seier, and throughout her career she has worked in comedy, film and theatre, showcasing a versatility that spans from everyday humor to emotional drama.
In her masterclass, she will share how she has blended comedy and drama to portray deeply human, vulnerable and relatable characters, framed within contemporary family and social life.
