Serielizados hosts a masterclass, in collaboration with DAMA, on the series 'El castillo'. Its creators, Isabel Peña and Eduardo Villanueva, will participate in the session.
Creator and screenwriter Isabel Peña and screenwriter and producer Eduardo Villanueva will give a masterclass for professionals following the premiere of their latest series, El castillo (new Original Movistar Plus series).
Peña is a screenwriter for series such as Antidisturbios or Apagón, and films such as the recent El ser querido, El llanto or As bestas, among others. Villanueva is also a screenwriter for Antidisturbios and other series such as La ruta, Rabia or Frágiles. As a producer, notable titles include El ser querido, Flores para Antonio, El llanto or Los años nuevos.
What is ‘El castillo’ about?
Gerardo Liesa, a young police inspector who has just joined the UCRIF (Central Unit for Illegal Immigration Networks and Document Forgery), and his partner Carmen Osés suspect that something is changing in brothels across Spain. Suizo and his partners run several roadside clubs where they sexually exploit prostitutes from all over the world. One of those women is Claudia, who at 18 years old and with a young son in Colombia, has just arrived in Spain looking for a better future.
The series stars Raúl Arévalo (‘Antidisturbios’, ‘Por cien millones’, ‘La isla mínima’), Valentina Vidal (making her debut in this series), Omar Ayuso (‘Silencio’, ‘Élite’), and Laia Marull (‘Te doy mis ojos’, ‘La Mesías’) leading the main cast.
The series will be available on Movistar Plus starting October 8th.
