‘Marble Hall Murders’ (AXN)

Serielizados presents Marble Hall Murders, a fascinating and elegant British mystery miniseries based on the acclaimed novel by Anthony Horowitz, marking the highly anticipated return of the Susan Ryeland saga following the successes of Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders. Adapted for television by Horowitz himself and directed by Rebecca Gatward, the series delivers a captivating puzzle where literature and true crime masterfully intertwine.

The story follows the intrepid editor Susan Ryeland (played by award-winning actress Lesley Manville) as she returns to England to tackle the new manuscript featuring the famous fictional detective Atticus Pünd. This time, the book is in the hands of a young author plagued by personal and family troubles, but what begins as a routine editorial review soon spirals into a real-life bloody mystery. Entangled in a dense web of secrets and suspicion, Susan herself becomes one of the main targets of the investigation.

True to the saga’s ingenious signature style, the show unfolds a brilliant “mystery within a mystery” structure: a dual narrative alternating between Susan’s dangerous contemporary case and the elegant enigma set in idyllic 1955 Corfu investigated by Atticus Pünd. A masterclass in classic whodunit storytelling in the purest Agatha Christie tradition, infused with the modern, sophisticated flair of contemporary British television.
