Serielizados hosts a live session of La Trama, the podcast about screenwriting and audiovisual storytelling featuring some of the best screenwriters in Catalonia. In this session, the guests will be Júlia Cot ('Departament Amades') and Dani Amor ('La casa nostra'), who will discuss how to make a sitcom in 2025.
This live session of the podcast La Trama will offer a talk about the current state of sitcoms and comedy in television series. Screenwriter Júlia Cot, who has worked on Polònia and series such as Vintage and Fuet, is currently developing Departament Amades for 3Cat, a comedy about Catalan bestiaries and legends. Meanwhile, Dani Amor is the screenwriter and co-creator of La casa nostra (also for 3Cat), a new sitcom filmed in front of a live audience, co-created and co-written with Dani de la Orden and Eduard Sola.
With the rise of dramedies and shows like The Bear winning awards in comedy categories, is the genre currently in decline on television, or is it entering a new golden age thanks to titles like Hacks or The Studio? What is the current state of traditional sitcoms filmed with a live audience? Are they on the verge of extinction? How has TV comedy evolved over the years?
La Trama is a production by Serielizados with the support of DAMA (Audiovisual Media Copyright Organization) and the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC).
