‘Frust’

An aspiring writer who has never published anything and feels frustrated with the world around him accidentally kills a drug dealer. The incident turns him into a kind of “shadow hero” and undercover vigilante, dividing society between those who believe he was right to kill the dealer and those who condemn him. As the debate intensifies, the protagonist continues down a spiral of self-destruction and violence.

Bosnian filmmaker Danis Tanović, Oscar winner for No Man’s Land and author of other acclaimed films such as Triage and Cirkus Columbia, directs this incendiary thriller with ironic undertones that serves as a distorted mirror of our most immediate reality.
