Jón Gnarr, comedian, former mayor of Reykjavík, and a key creator featured at Serielizados, is the author and star of this ironic dramedy about two retirees facing a new reality.
Félix and Klara, retirees, live in the house they built themselves — a source of great pride for Félix, a former customs officer. With three children and numerous grandchildren, their relationship with the family is distant. After more than 50 years of marriage, many things remain unspoken, and they have settled into a comfortable routine. But when Klara’s health begins to decline, the family decides to sell the house and move them into a retirement community.
While Klara enjoys the freedom and social life of this new environment, Félix’s world begins to crumble: he becomes obsessed with trivial matters, clashes with the neighbors, and drags his family into his most mundane conflicts. Can a retiree learn new ways to live?
A series created, written, and starring Jón Gnarr, former mayor of Reykjavík, guest at Serielizados 2018, and creator of other acclaimed series such as The Major.
