‘Ann Droid’

Created and written by Diane Morgan (Cunk on Earth) alongside Sarah Kendall, Ann Droid takes us to the year 2029 to follow Sue, a recently widowed woman. When her son Michael decides to move out to try to save his marriage, he leaves his mother an unusual farewell gift: Linda, an obsolete elder-care android model. The series explores the hilarious cultural and generational clash between a mature woman who just wants some peace and quiet and an outdated artificial intelligence plagued with programming glitches, which has already become one of the year’s biggest ratings and critical hits in the UK.
