‘A Life’s Worth’

Inspired by the book of the UN soldier Magnus Ernström “Ett halvt år, ett helt liv”, A Life’s Worth is a drama about the first Swedish UN battalion in Bosnia in 1993. Four young soldiers face their first mission in a brutal conflict where maintaining peace is not enough. Their commander constantly struggles between intervention and duty. An enthralling story about war, morality, and the bonds of friendship, love, and trust that are forged in it.

A Life’s Worth immerses us in the war in Bosnia; a cruel war that tore the country apart in the early 1990s. The series explores the ethical dilemma faced by the UN peacekeepers who were sent to the region, unable (and incapacitated) to intervene in a conflict beyond their control.
