PANORAMA, TRIBUTES AND SHORT FORM

As usual in recent years, the program consists of five sections: Official Competition, Panorama, Short Form, Showcase and Documentary. In particular, this last section will be dedicated to a mythical series that is celebrating its 60th anniversary, Doctor Who. It will be with the feature-length documentary Doctor Who Am I, a first-person documentary that tells the story of Matthew Jacobs, defenestrated scriptwriter of the failed American remake of the British science fiction series, who embarks on a path of reconciliation and “Whovian” redemption through various fan conventions of the series in the United States.

The Short Form section will offer an overview of the best short-form series, under 20 minutes. From Easy Peasy, a hilarious collection of gags by Norwegian comedian Fridtjof Josefsen to the unclassifiable Martine à la plage, plus Always Be Closing, a sort of Danish version of The Wolf of Wall Street for Generation Z, the tender One of the boys or the futuristic Dome 16, among others.

For its part, the Showcase section will once again be a showcase for emerging talent with the selection of the 4 finalist projects of the “Showcase de pilots de serie” sponsored by DAMA, Antaviana and Popitas and organised by Serielizados Fest, the Zoom festival in Igualada and the Alcine festival: Encontrar la calma by Alex Ayres, A Arte De Ser (Mal) Pai by Porco Bravú, Trippiecontes by Santa Penya and Bruno & Co by Alejo Levis.
