INTRODUCTION

The Microseries Showcase is a call for entries aimed at giving visibility to and promoting emerging talent in the creation of microseries in Catalan.

The initiative is organized by Serielizados and the Zoom Awards of Igualada, in collaboration with the EVA platform.

The final selection of microseries will be screened at SERIELIZADOS (from October 19 to 28 in Barcelona).

Two awards will be presented and officially announced during the Zoom Awards of Igualada Gala on November 21, 2026, at the Ateneu Municipal Theatre in Igualada.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

To participate in the Showcase, projects must strictly meet the following requirements:

• Language: Only projects that are at least 50% in Catalan will be accepted.
• Genre: Both fiction and documentary projects are eligible.
• Format: Episodes must have a minimum duration of 30 seconds and a maximum duration of 6 minutes. A maximum of four episodes per project will be screened.
• Aspect Ratio: Vertical, horizontal, and square formats are accepted.
• Production: The work may have been recorded using any type of camera or smartphone, or produced using any animation technique.
• Previous Exhibition: Projects may have been previously published, although original and unreleased proposals will be especially valued.
• Authorship: Individuals, collectives, schools, universities, or production companies that can legally prove authorship of the submitted work may participate.

REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Projects will be accepted until 11:59 PM on August 31, 2026.

The organization reserves the right to extend the submission deadline.

Registration is free of charge and can be completed through the Fiona portal via this LINK.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Selected projects must submit their materials according to the following specifications:

• Video Codec: H.264
• Resolution: Free
• Aspect Ratio: Free

The organization reserves the right to request additional promotional materials, such as the official poster, promotional images, or the project dossier.

AWARDS

• EVA Award: It will be decided by professionals from the platform, and will allow the creator of the selected project to participate in the content of the EVA community.
• Young Jury Award – Sponsored by AVisual PRO: This award will be granted by a committee of young professionals linked to the audiovisual sector. The winning project will receive a voucher for equipment rental and/or studio rental for one year (consumables not included), valued at €800 at www.avisualpro.es and www.avisualstudios.es. The award will be granted to the rights holder of the project (non-transferable). The €800 corresponds to the base rental price plus mandatory insurance (6% of the base price), excluding VAT. Conditions regarding equipment reservations, deposits, order processing, schedules, and availability are those established by AVisual PRO and applied generally to all clients.

SELECTION AND JURY

The selection of participating projects will be carried out by the SERIELIZADOS programming team.

The jury’s decision shall be final and not subject to appeal.

GALA AND AWARD CEREMONY

The presentation of the awards will take place exclusively during the Zoom Awards of Igualada.

OBSERVATIONS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Participation in the Microseries Showcase implies full acceptance of these rules, as well as any annexes or amendments that may be communicated by the organization.

The organization reserves the right to use excerpts from the selected works for promotional purposes and for the dissemination of the event through media outlets and social networks.

PARTICIPANTS FROM PREVIOUS EDITIONS

In previous editions or activities linked to the Showcase, renowned creators from the digital and audiovisual fields have participated, including: Rafillo, Borja Pakrolsky, Alex Ayres, Sandra Flores, Cintia Ballbè, Alejo Levis, Emma Soler, Santa Penya, Norbert Palazón, and Christian Flores, among others.
