Serielizados Fest premieres in Spain ‘This England’, a series that narrates the most tragic weeks of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in England, with Kenneth Brannagh in the role of Boris Johnson.
This England tells the story of some of the most devastating events ever to befall the UK, and of a challenged Prime Minister leading in these unprecedented times. The drama will trace the impact of the pandemic on Britain. A pandemic that has scarred (and continues to scar) an entire generation. And the response of scientists, nurses and doctors as they worked tirelessly and heroically to contain and overcome the virus.
The series is based on first-hand testimony from different people; from the Prime Minister, to members of the Department of Health, the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), and professionals from hospitals and nursing homes across the country.
The totem of tragedy, Kenneth Branagh, theatrical and cinematic icon, steps into the shoes of Boris Johnson himself. You will see that the resemblance is spectacular.
