Premiere + Q&A: ‘Luz en la oscuridad’ (Movistar Plus+)

Sections Premiere

Serielizados Fest premieres the docuseries called to be the queen of Spanish ‘True Crime’. After his award-winning ‘Crims’, Carles Porta puts light in the darkness in this new Movistar+ original series that he will personally present at the festival.

Carles Porta is one of the most relevant representatives of non-fiction journalism in our country. Recognized with a special mention in the Ortega y Gasset journalism award and winner of the Ondas award for Crims, he has developed an extensive career as a journalist, writer, television reporter, war correspondent, audiovisual producer, screenwriter and film director.

Since his radio program Crims, a Catalan crime chronicle, jumped into the audiovisual world through TV3, true crime in Spain cannot be understood without this name. Its impact and good eye when it comes to exploring crimes that catch the interest of the audience, has only grown.

After the passage to Movistar Plus+ of the original episodes of Crims, under the title Crímenes, the platform trusts again in Porta, to produce a new docuseries, this time focused on criminal cases in the rest of Spain. It is Luz en la oscuridad, which takes its title from its already mythical entry phrase in the introduction of each episode of Crims.

A genre, true crime, which is living its golden age and is about to enter another national dimension with Luz en la oscuridad. Its first two episodes will be previewed exclusively at Serielizados Fest Madrid and we will have the presence of Carles Porta for a Q&A after the screening.
