Serielizados Fest premieres in Spain this modern version of Romeo and Juliet where the protagonists find themselves on opposite sides of the climate movement.
Daniel is going through a rough patch. Expelled from university, he has returned home with his sick mother. When he is not working, Daniel likes to spend his time trolling environmentalists on the Internet because he considers them naive: what matters is the here and now.
But everything changes when he meets Elin on a night out. At their first meeting they don’t know it yet, but they are on the opposite side of the same issue: while Elin is an avid climate activist from an indigenous family, whose lives and livelihoods are threatened, Daniel is about to get a job at the local copper mine.
As the conflict around the mine drives a wedge into the community, Daniel will have to make a decision that threatens to destroy his relationship with Elin.
Original version (Norwegian) with Spanish and Catalan subtitles.
