Serielizados Fest premieres Safe Home, an emotional story about a community center against family violence.
Safe Home follows the story of Phoebe Rook, a young communications specialist who leaves her job at a major Melbourne law firm to work at a community legal center specializing in family violence. Everything changes when the center is threatened by the withdrawal of funding. A situation that will increase the pressure Phoebe feels to save the site, and will put all her relationships to the test, forcing her to embark on a complicated and unexpected path fraught with problems.
Safe Home also explores the lives and stories of different women connected through the center by masterfully blending several timelines and alternating their experiences.
With an impressive central performance by Aisha Dee (Phoebe), the series addresses a key message: domestic abuse can happen to anyone and the only way to avoid it is to confront a system built up on sexism and oppression.
Original version (English) with Spanish and Catalan subtitles.
