Kasko’ tells the story of a young man torn between two worlds who must make a decision about who he wants to be
Kasko brings us the story of Jamal, a boy in his 20s who lives with his best friend Abdi. Jamal leads a comfortable life consisting exclusively of partying and having very little responsibility.
When a large debt comes knocking on the door, Jamal will have to ask for help to his brother Osman, who will help him with an unexpected and curious job in the insurance industry. Jamal will end up in conflict with himself, as he struggles to balance life at work, and how he sees himself, torn between two worlds.
The lead role is played by Jonis Josef, who has written the script together with Mikael Samuelsen and Jenny Vuong. Samuelsen is also in charge of directing the series.
Kasko was the only Norwegian series nominated for Best European Series at the Series Mania 2022 festival, and was also nominated for Gullruten 2022 in the Best Comedy Program category and at the Series Critics Award 2022 in the Best Norwegian Comedy category.
