Serielizados Fest 2021 has already selected the six fictional pilots who will compete to win the prize of the 8th Fiction Pilots Showcase, which is awarded by a professional jury, and also with the audience prize.
The jury will be formed by Mafalda González-Alegre (Atresmedia-Flooxer), Gerard Cassadó (Filmin), Dani Amor (El Terrat), Agustín Alonso (Playz) and David Sainz and Teresa Segura (Diffferent Entertainment).
The six pilots will be shown in two galas open to the public, held during the festival. Serielizados Fest will take place in Barcelona, from October 19 to 24 , in Madrid, from October 27 to 30 and also online, from October 19 to 30.
As a novelty of this 8th edition, the Showcase Jury Prize, sponsored by DAMA, changes from € 600 to € 1,500 for the winning project, and the Audience Award, sponsored by Popitas, will be € 300. The winners will be announced at the closing gala of the Zoom Festival in Igualada at the end of November.
The finalists will also be able to exclusively attend a Meet the expert session, where production companies and professionals will give them feedback on their projects and tips to fully exploit their potential. The aim is to generate synergies between emerging talent and the television industry.
The six finalists in this 8th edition of the 8th Fiction Pilots Showcase are:
- ‘Válidas’ (by Nacho P. Pardo, Victoria Martín and Carolina Iglesias).
- ‘Conversaciones’ (by Tomás Ratón and Pedro Delgado).
- ‘Lourdes y Concha’ (by María Gómez-Comino).
- ‘Best Boyfriend Ever’ (by Alex Ygoa).
- ‘Querida Conchi’ (by Rafillo).
- ‘Animal en serie’ (by Roger Torns).
David Sainz and Teresa Segura, creator and producer of the classic webserie ‘Malviviendo‘ and ‘Mambo‘ (Diffferent Entertainment), will give this edition’s Showcase masterclass within the framework of the Serielizados Fest Barcelona.
LOS MAKING-OF DE DAMA: ‘MIRA LO QUE HAS HECHO’
The organization of the International Series Festival also announces the first session of the cycle “Los Making-of de DAMA”, a masterclass dedicated to creative duos: director & screenwriter; script writer & editor; actor & director… They will explain to us how they composed specific scenes, some key moments or which are the challenges in the creative process.
The first session of “Los Making-of de DAMA” will focus on the Movistar + series ‘Mira lo que has hecho’ , with the presence and technical analysis of Berto Romero (creator and main character), Rafel Barceló (screenwriter) and Alberto de Toro (editor ). The event will take place on September 27 at 6:30 p.m. at CASA SEAT, the venue for all the sessions of the cycle.
Two more sessions of “Los Making-of de DAMA” are already scheduled. The next will be held during the Serielizados Fest 2021, and the successive, before the end of the year. More details will be published soon.
