Serielizados Fest 2022 announces dates and opens call for series

The 9th edition of  Serielizados Fest is getting ready for this 2022, which will take place in Barcelona (from 18th to 23th October) and in Madrid (from 25th to 28th October). It will also maintain its online edition on Filmin, a VOD platform, from October 18th to 30th.

Serielizados Fest is Spain’s first international festival dedicated exclusively to television fiction. In its last eight editions it has been consolidated as a great asset in the promotion and diffusion of series for platforms and channels.

The 2021 digital edition, which debuted 35 international series on Filmin, drew more than 230,000 viewers. This success placed Serielizados Fest as the second most watched online festival in Spain. These spectators were joined by more than 6,500 who attended live sessions scheduled in Barcelona and Madrid.

In this new 2022 edition, the organization will continue betting on bringing international and national creators and premieres of series from around the world (official section, panorama, short form and documentaries). In addition,  there will also be new editions of the Showcase of national young talent, as well as children’s sessions and industry-focused professional sessions.

Besides, the registration period for series is currently open to producers and distributors from all over the world. Those who want to present their latest titles (2020-22), if unpublished in Spain can apply. The application deadline is until June 30th, 2022. Productions can be selected for the different sections of the festival: series, documentaries and short form.

Serielizados Fest repeats its previous venues for live activities. In Barcelona, ​​attendees will be able to enjoy sessions at Phenomena, CCCB and CASA SEAT. In Madrid, CentroCentro’s auditorium will repeat as a venue for the second consecutive year, with the collaboration of Madrid Film Office and Academia de Cine.
