Serielizados 2026 announces dates and launches its Open Call for series

Serielizados opens submissions for its 13th edition, which will take place from October 19 to 28 in Barcelona. The presentation of the Open Call took place this Wednesday, March 25, within the framework of the Séries Mania festival, currently being held in Lille, France.

The announcement was made during an event titled ‘Catalonia Loves Series’, jointly organized by Catalunya Film Commission, Catalan Films, and Serielizados, held at the Séries Mania Forum, the professional and industry fair running parallel to the festival. The event aims to showcase series produced in Catalonia that have had international distribution, such as Pubertat (HBO Max) or success stories like Celeste (Movistar Plus+), Esto no es Suecia (3CAT, RTVE), and Querer (Movistar Plus+).

During the festival presentation at this event, the directors of Serielizados, Víctor Sala and Betu Martínez, announced the final dates for the 2026 festival and explained the main guidelines for the upcoming 13th edition.

They also announced the launch of this year’s Open Call, an open invitation to submit series to the festival’s selection committee. This call opens on March 25 and closes on June 28, accepting submissions for the Section National Official, International Official, International Panorama, Short Form, and Documentary Film.

The series selected for the next edition of Serielizados will compete for the Official Jury Award and the Young Jury Award. In previous editions, Serielizados Fest has hosted exclusive premieres of series such as: Blackport, Celeste, Families Like Ours, Life After Life, We Are Lady Parts, Pressure Point, Anatomía de un instante, The Last Socialist Artefact, and A better man, among many others.
