Sally Wainwright, creator of series such as Happy Valley and Gentleman Jack, will not be attending the 12th edition of the Serielizados Festival, which will take place from November 3 to 12 in Barcelona. We regret to inform that the British screenwriter has had to cancel her attendance at Serielizados 2025 due to unforeseen circumstances.
Wainwright was scheduled to take part on Saturday, November 8, in the presentation of her new series Riot Women, part of the International Official Selection, as well as in a Masterclass aimed at screenwriters. The series, which competes for awards at the festival, will still be part of the Serielizados program with the screening, on the same date and time, of the first two episodes introduced by Roger Salvans, editor of Fotogramas.
Meanwhile, the Masterclass will also remain in the festival’s program but with a change of guest. Another of the festival’s international guests, Henriette Steenstrup, creator of the series Pørni and of another series featured at Serielizados 2025, Nepobaby, will take her place. The Masterclass, organized in collaboration with GAC (Guionistes Associats de Catalunya), will be a conversation between Steenstrup and screenwriter Xènia Pugigrós, exploring the creative process behind their most successful series.
