Carmen Machi stars in this thriller with comedy touches creayed by Diego San José for Movistar Plus+ in which she plays a tax inspector who investigates a famous Latin music star. With the presence of Diego San José, Carmen Machi and Elena Trapé
Celeste is a great Latin music star. Her songs are a worldwide phenomenon and her concerts fill stadiums. But this series is not about her. The real protagonist is Sara Santano, a tax inspector who has dedicated her whole life to collecting taxes and who is finally about to retire. Or so she thought. Because on his last day she takes on the most important task of her career: to prove that Celeste lives in Spain and has to pay her taxes here. A mission on which twenty million euros depend for the State’s coffers.
Starring Carmen Machi, Celeste is a new Movistar Plus+ original series created by Diego San José, author of the trilogy Vota Juan, Vamos Juan and Venga Juan and screenwriter of films such as Friend Zone, Love Storming, Spanish Affair, Bomb Scared or Superlopez. In his own words, Celeste was born from the challenge of creating a vertiginous thriller around a gray character. A series like Zodiac, but with the IRPF as the main character.
The series is co-produced by 100 Balas (The Mediapro Studio) and its cast also includes actors such as Manolo Solo, Andrea Bayardo and Aixa Villagrán. It is directed entirely by Elena Trapé (The Distances, The Enchanted, I, Addict) and has scripts by Diego San José himself together with Daniel Castro and Oriol Puig Playà.
