A brutal dystopian series that plays with absurd comedy, grotesque satire, and dark humor to expose social repression in Belarus.
Absurd comedy, grotesque satire, and dark humor come together in this powerful dystopian series. An innovative experiment in which each episode offers an independent story highlighting cases related to detentions, repression, and the persecution of civil society in Belarus in recent years, providing an artistic reflection of the country’s reality.
In the first episode of the series, mass arrests of protesters overwhelm the country’s prisons, and police officers are forced to keep prisoners locked up in their own homes. In the second, a group of children visits the KGB facilities through a nightmarish tour in true Willy Wonka style.
