The legendary PlayStation videogame saga comes to life in the form of a high-octane series with a spectacular cast that you can enjoy on the big screen at Serielizados Fest.
Back in 1995 the launch of a new video game console revolutionized the market and changed the landscape forever. We are talking about the first PlayStation and an impressive collection of original and exclusive video games that marked a whole generation of gamers. Among these titles is the most long-lived saga of Sony’s console: Twisted Metal.
After the success of video game adaptations such as The Last of Us or the most recent Fallout, it was only a matter of time before Twisted Metal had an adaptation too. And for this, its creators Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (screenwriters of crazy movies like Deadpool or Zombieland) have enlisted Marvel’s current Captain America, Anthony Mackie, to lead this exciting cast.
The actor brings to life John Doe, a loudmouthed outsider who is offered a chance at a better life if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief, he’ll face off against savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other road hazards, including a deranged clown driving an all-too-familiar ice cream truck.
Joining Anthony Mackie the cast includes Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Thomas Haden Church (Divorce), Neve Campbell (Scream) as well as the great Will Arnett (Arrested Development, Bojack Horseman) and pro wrestler Joe Seanoa voicing and portraying, respectively, the iconic bad guy Sweet Tooth.
