Serielizados Fest premieres the first episode of this original Max docuseries, directed by journalist Mònica Terribas and with the collaboration of actress Claudia Traisac

El minuto heroico: Yo también dejé el Opus Dei is a documentary series that reconstructs, through their own testimonies, the lives of thirteen women from different environments, countries and generations (and with no links between them) who experienced first-hand the reality of Opus Dei. To contrast their testimony and provide context, the documentary series incorporates the views of professionals such as psychologists, journalists and other experts in the field.

Although Opus Dei has faced, since the seventies, severe criticism for coercive dynamics and sectarian practices, this is the first documentary series that addresses the subject extensively and with exhaustive research.

Journalist Mònica Terribas is the creator and director of the series, and actress Claudia Traisac (See You in Another Life, Teresa, The Patients of Dr. Garcia) recreates the stories of these women based on their shared experiences. Laura Sisteró, known for the film Tolyatti Adrift, is in charge of the filmmaking.

El minuto heroico: Yo también dejé el Opus Dei is a Max original documentary series for Warner Bros. Discovery. Mònica Terribas and Bernat Elías are the executive producers of THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO. Zaida Serrano-Piedecasas and María Rubio are the producers of Warner Bros. Discovery.

Serielizados Fest will exclusively premiere the first episode of the series, which is scheduled to premiere in early 2025.

With the presence of Mònica Terribas and Claudia Traisac.
