Feeling out of place in modern society, a 16-year-old girl decides to run away to a wild and unknown land to start a new life.
This is the starting point of the new series co-created by actor and director Mark Duplass (The Morning Show, Room 104) along with Mel Eslyn (Room 104), whose previous appearance before Serielizados Fest was at the prestigious indie festival par excellence, Sundance.
The protagonist, Penelope, is a 16-year-old girl who feels out of place in the modern world. Almost cosmically drawn to nature, and without any plan in mind, she leaves her family behind and ventures into a captivating forest in the state of Washington, where she begins to forge an alternative life far from the comfort of her home. The series bears the hallmark of the Duplass brothers’ production company, known as producers of series like Wild Wild Country or Somebody Somewhere, and creators of Room 104 and Togetherness.
