Serielizados Fest premieres this unconventional biopic with touches of humor about the life of Franz Kafka, just as the 100th anniversary of the writer’s death is commemorated.

Director and screenwriter David Schalko (Old Money, M – A City Hunts a Murderer) and bestselling author Daniel Kehlmann join forces to delve into the life and work of Franz Kafka in this series that surprises with its unconventional humor, while also maintaining the rigor in its portrayal of one of the key writers of the 20th century. Thus, we explore Kafka’s romantic relationships with Felice Bauer, Milena Jesenska, and Dora Diamant, his difficult relationship with his tyrannical father, and also his close friendship with Max Brod, the man responsible for his recognition as an author.

Swiss actor Joel Basman shines as Franz Kafka in this ensemble biopic, which also features Christian Friedel (star of The Zone of Interest) and the tireless Lars Eidinger, recently seen in the miniseries Irma Vep and All the Light We Cannot See.
