Serielizados Fest presents exclusively in Spain this series premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and produced by the Duplass brothers. With the presence of its director and co-creator, Mel Eslyn.
Penelope is a 16-year-old girl who feels out of place in the modern world. Drawn almost cosmically to nature, and with no plan in mind, she leaves her family behind and wanders into a captivating forest in Washington State, where she begins to forge an alternative life far from the comfort of home.
The series had its world premiere at the last edition of the Sundance Film Festival and is produced by the Duplass brother’s company, producers of series such as Wild Wild Country, Somebody Somewhere, Room 104 or Togetherness. One of them, Mark Duplass, currently known for his recurring role as an actor on The Morning Show, is also co-creator and co-writer of Penelope along with Mel Eslyn, who also directs.
Eslyn has collaborated on several Duplass titles and recently directed the film Biosphere (2022). The filmmaker will attend the festival to present the series and offer a Q&A with the audience afterwards..
