Mixing the codes of fiction and documentary, the French series ‘Ceux qui rougissent’ shows us the unique teaching methods of a substitute drama teacher.
In Ceux qui rougissent, a dozen students from an elective drama class spend a month with a substitute teacher. As they recite Shakespeare from a safe distance, the teacher abruptly interrupts their rehearsal.
In an era where young people hide their emotions behind a mask, with their heads either too high or too low, the question of intimacy becomes increasingly unavoidable.
A series that mixes the codes of fiction and documentary, created by Julien Gaspar-Olivieri, Maud Konan, and Johan Rouveyre. Winner of the Best Series award in the Short Form section of the Festival Séries Mania.
