[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”11 projects participate in the second edition of Mind the Gap, an international pitch for series co-productions created to help secure the final phase of their financing, providing visibility and encouraging European co-productions and international sales.” css=””][vc_empty_space height=”50″][vc_column_text css=””]The 11 projects selected for <\/span>Mind the Gap<\/span><\/i> will pitch in front of audiovisual industry professionals and an international jury formed<\/span> by Ben Driscoll<\/strong> (Head of Programming and Lead Curator of Series at MUBI), Cristina Merino<\/strong> (Executive Producer and Content Executive at Movistar Plus), Susana Herreras<\/strong> (Head of Original Production at Movistar Plus), Peter Lohner<\/strong> (VP of International and Hispanic Acquisitions at Beta Film), Susanne Frank<\/strong> (Director Drama at ZDF Studios), and Virginie B\u00e9jot<\/strong> (Interactive Commissioning Editor at ARTE France).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This jury, composed of <\/span>commissioners<\/span><\/i>, sales agents, and representatives from European channels and platforms, will select a winning project that will receive a \u20ac5,500 prize<\/strong>, sponsored by Triodos Bank<\/strong> and Fundaci\u00f3n SGAE<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Additionally, among the Spanish projects, one winning project will be granted rights to use music from the Konga Music Agency<\/strong> catalog up to a total value of \u20ac2,000.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Out of the 11 projects selected for the pitch, 8 were chosen by a committee appointed by the organization following an open call. The remaining projects were invited by the Seriencamp festival<\/strong> (Cologne, Germany), ECAM Forum<\/strong>, and Iberseries<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mind the Gap<\/span><\/i> is supported by the Institut Catal\u00e0 de les Empreses Culturals<\/strong> (Generalitat de Catalunya) and the SGAE Foundation<\/strong>, through the SGAE Territorial Council<\/strong> in Catalonia, and Triodos Bank.<\/strong> The initiative also features the collaboration of ECAM<\/strong> (School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid), Konga Music Agency, Sarao Music,<\/strong> the Seriencamp<\/strong> festival in Cologne (Germany), the G\u00f6teborg Film Festival<\/strong>, the Swedish Institute<\/strong>, and the Embassy of Sweden <\/strong>in Spain.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”40″][vc_message message_box_style=”solid” style=”square” message_box_color=”orange” css=””]The pitch will take place at the headquarters of the Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE) in Catalonia, hosted by Elena Neira.
